Who We Are
Elizabeth
Arriving in Crete more than 20 years ago Elizabeth Cradick found that a Winter stop over became home, and resulted
in a traditional Cretan marriage in a Greek Orthodox village church with over 500 guests.. She and her husband ran
a successful village taverna for over 17 years, where she learnt to speak the language, to cook Cretan food and
to understand the rich and varied culture of Cretan life. She even wrote her own Cretan cookery book,
Cretan Village Cooking.
She organised her first wedding in 2001 for very good friends, and enjoyed the experience so much she decided to leave the restaurant business and become a wedding planner, setting up Weddings in Crete at the end of 2004.
After the death of her husband Elizabeth remarried, and yes you guessed it, her second husband is also Greek ... but this time the celebration was a civil ceremony - planned and arranged by, of course, Weddings in Crete, in 2007.
Every wedding is unique, and each a different challenge, but it is always very rewarding, and meeting so many
happy couples is a great pleasure.

Rosemary
Elizabeth is assisted in all weddings by the invaluable Rosemary, who arrived in Crete for the first time in early 2004, and like many people fell in love with this beautiful island. It's people, culture, scenery, food, climate and genuine hospitality stole her heart, and that was when she and her husband decided that Crete was the place for them.
After raising a family and having a very hectic lifestyle for over 20 years in Finance and Customer Service it was time for something different. Within 12 months and many visits in between, they were living in their beautiful new home in Crete.
Rosemary has always enjoyed meeting people and helping them wherever possible using her problem solving and organizational skills, whether it was at work or on a social basis. She loves to be with happy people! And when she met Elizabeth and was offered the opportunity to work with her she knew instinctively that they would make a great team.
We share the same goals and aspirations for all our clients. Between us, we go through each wedding with a fine toothcomb and pay attention to fine detail. However, that is not to say we do not have fun planning your wedding!
Each wedding is so different that we never get bored and our enthusiasm grows with each wedding. It is important to us that we understand our clients and their needs and deliver as promised. Your happiness is paramount to us.
